First opened in 1967 and named after a former superintendent, Perry Tipler Middle School benefits students through positive interaction with children ages 11 to 14. Perry Tipler houses an excellent media center and offers programs such as English Language Learners (ELL) and Exceptional Educational Needs (EEN) programs, and before-school tutoring. Teachers and staff maintain a compassionate, caring atmosphere that emphasizes collaboration and a strong academic foundation.

In the fall of 2009, Green Meadow Elementary School moved into Perry Tipler Middle School.  During this transitional year, the two separate schools are beginning to develop a unique 4-8 learning community
